Pride Month

Pride Month is an entire month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQIA voices, celebration of LGBTQIA culture and the support of LGBTQIA rights and all they have achieved.

This takes place to honour the 1969, Stonewall uprising which became the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.

In major cities across the nation the ‘day’ soon grew to encompass a month-long series of events.

The purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that the LGBTQIA individuals have had on history locally, nationally and internationally.

Minus 18 is a charity that changes the lives of LGBTQIA youth in Australia. The lead change, build social inclusion, and advocate for an Australia where all young people are safe, empowered, and surrounded by people that support them.

Mahercorp has encouraged everyone to come dressed in bright colours for the month, and provided rainbow cupcakes to celebrate. We will also be supporting the Minus 18 charity this month to showcase our support.
