CharityThe role of the Foundation is to realise Father Bob’s vision of ending homelessness and disadvantage. They facilitate the establishment of a caring community, by the community, for the community. Their mission is to provide material, emotional and social support to whomever, whenever and wherever necessary.
Urbanedge Homes and the Father Bob Maguire Foundation run a biennial event, the Urbandura Challenge to help raise funds and awareness for the foundation.

Sporting TeamThe Melton Centrals Football and Netball Club, known as “The Blues" is based in the suburb of Melton 35km west of Melbourne. Eight Homes has proudly been the premier sponsor of the club for the past 7 years.
The Melton Centrals had not long ago expanded their club to include the women’s football club along with the junior netball and football club under the one banner.
The club is also affiliated with the Riddell District Football league.
